Teenager arrested after fatal stabbing
Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a teenager have arrested a 16-year-old man in connection with the attack.
Freddy Moody, 18, was knifed to death just yards from his home in Lambeth, south London.
Some reports suggest he was attacked by a gang which lay in wait for him.
The 18-year-old becomes the 21st person to die a violent death in the capital this year.
Neighbour Vida Oblitey described Freddy as "like a son to her" and said she had been with his mother when he died in hospital.
She said: "Freddy was a very handsome boy, a lovely boy - and whoever has done this has taken the only son away from a very happy family."
She added: "I had just come home from work and got a call from my kids - they said Freddy had been stabbed. After rushing back I phoned Freddy's mother, who I was with until 5am this morning.
"I had been at the hospital with her and we were there when it was confirmed he had died.
"His mother was like a sister to me and he was like a son to me. It is the most unbelievable loss.
"You hear about these attacks on the news, but until it happens to you no-one can understand what it is like."
