Tinseltown's finest have been out in full force to charm London at the European premiere of Stardust.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Sienna Miller were just some of the film's stars to walk the carpet and see the fantasy epic based on the Neil Gaiman novel.

The movie tells the story of Tristan (Charlie Cox), who tries to win the heart of Victoria (Sienna Miller) by venturing into a magical realm to retrieve a fallen star.

Pfeiffer plays the murderous old witch, Lamia, who's determined to track down the star for herself to regain her former beauty.

The Catwoman star had to undergo hours of make-up to be transformed into the creepy cronie.

She said: "Initially it took some time getting used to. I think the most disturbing phase was the stage when I was half aged and half normal - that was pretty creepy."

Other stars to attend the premiere included Ricky Gervais who plays Ferdy the Fence, Rupert Everett, Dexter Fletcher and the film's lead actor Charlie Cox.

Stardust opens nationwide in the UK on October 19.
