Computer users are counting down the hours until they can get their hands on Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 7.
It is going on sale worldwide and pre-order sales alone suggest it could become the best selling software ever.
Unlike its predecessor, which introduced a large number of new features, Windows 7 is intended to be a more focused upgrade.
Vista came in for heavy criticism when it was plagued with problems soon after its launch.
Microsoft is pinning high hopes on the launch. Most reviews have been positive so far.
PC World is opening its shop in London's Tottenham Court Road at midnight for the launch.
