Stars gather for AFI bash
A host of Hollywood stars have attended the American Film Institute's annual Night at the Movies.
Cameron Diaz, Sean Connery, Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, Jodie Foster and Dustin Hoffman were among the A-Listers who introduced screenings of their famous films at the ArcLight Theatre in Hollywood.
Some of the films on show included The Matrix, Tootsie, Silence of the Lambs, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, There's Something About Mary and The Apartment.
AFI president and CEO Bob Gazzale said the event was: "Grand in scale, but simple in message - to bring movie makers and move lovers together in the glow of this great American art form.
"It is a fireworks show of American film, and AFI's honour to celebrate the artists and their contributions to the rich cultural legacy of our nation."
Denzel Washington, Shirley MacLaine, Annette Bening and Mike Myers were also in attendance.
