Schoolboys get life for murder
Two schoolboys from Greater Manchester who kicked and punched a man to death have been given life sentences.
Andrew Smith, 16, of Deane, Bolton, and his friend Jason Bolton, 18, also from Deane, attacked Asaf Mahmood Ahmed as he sat on the steps of a nightclub in December last year.
Smith, who was 15 at the time of the attack, filmed himself on his mobile phone shortly after the incident as the words "eyes of a killer" were said in the background.
Passing sentence for the murder, Mr Justice MacDuff said the attacks were "callous, unprovoked and lacking in humanity".
He sentenced Smith to a minimum 13 years' detention and gave Bolton a minimum 17 year jail term.
