Wolverine director Gavin Hood has said he would like to make more X-Men movies.
Hood, who won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film with Tsotsi in 2005, came on board the hugely successful X-Men franchise to film the fourth installment, which is based on the Marvel comic books.
In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hugh Jackman returns as the man whose ability to heal makes him virtually indestructible.
It deals with the character's early years and the relationship with his half-brother Victor Creed.
Producer Lauren Shuler Donner has outlined at a recent press in Beverly Hills where she would like to see the X-Men franchise develop.
However, everyone else has remained tight-lipped about their future commitments, including director Gavin Hood.
"Everybody is just cautiously waiting to see how that will turn out.
"I think there is a very good chance that another Wolverine movie would be made. Whether I am the director or somebody else is, and whether I'll be available, and whether they'll want me. Nothing has been decided at this point."
X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be released on Blu-Ray on October 19.
