Sergeant to perform farewell dance
John Sergeant will be performing his last waltz on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.
The former political correspondent will try to perfect his dance with partner Kristina Rihanoff.
The 64-year-old has received strong support from the public since the show started, but the judges have been critical of his dancing.
He told a press conference last week he was quitting because there was "no viable 'stop Sergeant' candidate".
Last weekend, he was given the lowest score by the Strictly Come Dancing judges for the third week in a row.
However, he and his dance partner Kristina were once again saved by the public vote.
Throughout his time on Strictly there has been a huge public campaign to keep Sergeant in via the internet.
The BBC has said it plans to offer to refund the costs of the phone calls to those people who voted for Sergeant in last week's show.
An estimated 11 million people are expected to tune into the show on Saturday night.
Sergeant is expected to head off on a 14 day cruise which includes sailing through the Panama Canal from next weekend.
