Vampire Killers nearly stayed dead
Lesbian Vampire Killers was "dead in the water" before its stars became household names, James Corden has revealed.
The actor said he and Gavin and Stacey co-star Matthew Horne had wanted to do the horror spoof for years but it was only after their TV show became a success that the project was resurrected.
Corden said: "There were points in the last two years when this film was just dead in the water.
"Steve Clark-Hall, who produced the fim, came on board. It felt like he really grabbed the film by the scruff of its neck and said, we're going to get this film made.
"And that coincided with Gavin and Stacey starting to do better and us, I suppose, becoming more well-known."
