Honest estate agent becomes YouTube favourite

    Jules Bending

An estate agent has switched to YouTube after his "honest" adverts were banned by the property press.

Jules Bending, of the Real Ralph Bending, says his truthful assessments of homes up for sale have been barred from major websites and local newspapers.

The self-confessed "former hippy", 43, is proud of advertisements which include property descriptions like: "A good home for the Addams family or the Osbournes".

Another house is claimed to be: "As characterful as a vegetarian's fart."

Another of his descriptions contains the prediction: "Some poor old sod is going to end up buying this place. You know the sort, sensible shoes (probably Clarks Commandos), card evenings, shepherd's pie and a quick roll on a Wednesday night. £170,000."

Bending, of Glastonbury, Somerset, claims to be the most successful estate agent in the area, with a turnover of £1 million a year.

He said: "We must be doing something right. People like our open, honest and direct approach."
