Woman held after bodies found in bungalow

A woman has been detained by police after the bodies of two elderly people were found at a property in a seaside town.

Dorset police said the bodies of the people - who have not yet been named but are believed to be a man in his eighties and a woman in her seventies - were found in Uplands Road, Bournemouth, on Friday evening.

A 52-year-old woman has been detained and is helping police with their inquiries.

The property where the bodies were found is understood to be a detached bungalow and she was found inside suffering from serious injuries.

A Dorset police spokesman said detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Detectives said they would like to hear from anyone who had any information about the incident or about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
