The stars of New Moon, the sequel to the popular teen movie Twilight, hit Germany this weekend.
The three young stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, and the film's director Chris Weitz, were greeted by thousands of screaming fans who came with home-made posters and T-shirts, trying to get a glimpse of their idols.
Stewart, who plays love interest Bella in the saga, said she fully understood fans could easily mix up the film and real life personas of actors: "It must be hard to separate characters you love so much and have built up to some sort of icons in your mind. You see physical representations of them."
"I understand how that's hard to differentiate and how that's like the biggest compliment in the world," she added.
Meanwhile, Pattison explained what is different about the new film: "I guess New Moon is more about the sort of negative aspects of falling in love with someone, about the doubt and the fear that comes with it, as well as just the ecstasy, which was kind of dealt with in the first one."
