New E4 show Misfits hailed a hit

The good reviews for E4's new show Misfits are flooding in and the cast are hoping viewers will give it a try.

On paper, star Robert Sheehan admits it sounds odd: "When you give anyone the synopsis of the show they always go, what?"

The new comedy-drama is about a group of young offenders who end up with special powers after being hit by lightening in a freak flash storm.

Sheehan, 21, said: "They have basically made charactatures out of the strongest insecurities, for example Simon who turns invisible when he feels ignored."

Misfits is on Thursdays at 10pm.
