Christian Bale proud of Terminator Salvation
Christian Bale has said he is happy with the latest instalment in the Terminator franchise.
The Dark Knight star was originally offered the part of killer robot Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation.
But he only agreed to appear in the film if he could play human hero John Connor - and insisted on a major script rethink before coming on board.
Notoriously, by the time the cameras were rolling Bale was committed enough to unleash a furious foul-mouthed rant at a hapless crew member who accidentally ruined a take.
But the actor said the finished product was worth the aggravation, saying: "We ended up with a script in post-Judgement Day world which is really something quite new, and I love the mythology myself.
"I really got excited by the idea to be able to recreate that and revive it."
