Matalan murder CCTV released
Detectives investigating the murder of a Matalan manager have released CCTV footage of three suspects.
Jamie Simpson, 33, assistant manager at the store in the Kingsland Shopping Centre, Hackney, east London, was attacked as he was cashing up just before 8pm on Saturday.
Police believe three robbers were lying in wait in the store and killed him while trying to seize the day's takings.
They are thought to have made off via the rear car park in Dalston Lane.
Mr Simpson was pronounced dead in hospital and a post-mortem examination revealed he died from a stab wound to the neck.
Police have released CCTV of three men in hoodies who are suspected of carrying out the killing.
Detective Inspector Laurence Smith of the Metropolitan Police said: "We believe that the three individuals involved lay in wait at the store and then confronted the assistant manager.
"The description that we have of them is of three young black males."
Mr Simpson, who had worked as an assistant manager at the store for the past three years, was described by police as a "reliable, hardworking and a diligent member of staff who would always be available to assist his colleagues and customers".
