Abramovich divorce: Chelsea unaffected
Roman Abramovich's divorce will not have any impact on his ownership of Premiership champions Chelsea.
The Russian billionaire and his ex-wife Irina have "agreed terms" in respect of their five children and a financial settlement following the formal dissolution of their marriage.
However, these do not have any relation to the Stamford Bridge giants, which Abramovich bought in a £140 million deal in 2003 and has rapidly bankrolled into one of European football's super powers.
A statement issued on behalf of the couple said: "Mr and Mrs Abramovich have divorced in Russia on a consensual basis and have agreed terms in respect of arrangements for their children and a financial settlement.
"Mr Abramovich's corporate interests, including Chelsea Football Club, are not affected by the divorce proceedings."
