Fightstar frontman's no Charlie

Fightstar's latest track has the unique status of being sold as a 'vinyldisc'.

The new music format means that the A-side, or CD, is new single Deathcar plus a live version of 99 as well as bonus song Nerve/Seele. The B-side is a vinyl track called Shinji Ikari.

The cool new format is out now and has been taken from the album One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours.

And the recent turbulent lovelife of ex-Busted lead singer and Fightstar fontman Charlie Simpson appears to have been a blessing in disguise as Deathcar looks set to enter the top 40.

The angry young man penned lyrics for the album when his ex-girlfriend moved on to a relationship with someone else.

Charlie and Camilla Smith, his childhood sweetheart, are now back together but she is said to have "freaked out" when she first heard the lyrics.

Fortunately for Charlie, however, Camilla is said to have grown to love the album and he reckons the bittersweet song-writing process was a good dose of therapy.
