West is best at BET awards
Kanye West has scooped two trophies at the Black Entertainment awards in Los Angeles.
The BET Awards, an event honouring black recording artists, actors and athletes, were handed out at a star-studded ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium.
West won gongs for best male hip-hop artist and for best collaboration with Good Life, featuring T-Pain.
The rapper praised his music partner as well as himself in his acceptance speech.
"We're blessed to be in this man's presence, and I'll let you all know, cuz I'm one of the kings of this game right now, and my opinion counts - that's why I did a song with T-Pain," West said.
Teen sensation Chris Brown was named best male R&B performer and Alicia Keys took best female, while best actor and actress awards went to Oscar winners Denzel Washington and Halle Berry.
