Contestants gear up for BB house
Some details of the 16 Big Brother contestants have been revealed as they prepare to enter the house.
The ninth series of BB kicks-off later with a contestant deported from the US, three parents, and a 42-year-old entering the house, according to reports.
A luxury bedroom, an uncomfortable dormitory-style room, a bathroom with a transparent wall and even a "jail" awaits them.
This year's housemates will have to grow their own food, cultivating their own potatoes and carrots in the garden.
The producers of the TV reality show will be hoping that the 13-week series reignites interest after last year's poor ratings.
This year's wannabes include a stand-up comedian, three contestants born outside the UK, a Buddhist, a Muslim, and a DJ.
One of the contestants has appeared in a film with actor Hugh Grant, another has undergone breast enlargement and one housemate claims never to have seen Big Brother.
Davina McCall once again presents the show and the first eviction takes place on June 13.
Last year's winner was Brian Belo, who beat the bookmakers' favourites, twins Sam and Amanda Marchant.
