Pienaar hands Everton victory
David Moyes marked his 300th game as Everton boss with a Premier League victory over Tottenham.
Steven Pienaar found the back of the net when his shot cannoned in off Vedran Corluka six minutes into the second half.
It was the Merseyside club's third win in a row at White Hart Lane and also meant a first home defeat for Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
Both sides have aspirations of challenging the top four but Spurs, despite boss Harry Redknapp's honeymoon period, are still in the thick of it at the wrong end of the table.
Everton fans are looking towards the top of the premiership after bouncing back from last week's defeat to Wigan.
Aaron Lennon, David Bentley and Darren Bent all squandered promising opportunites in front of goal for Spurs.
Pienaar delayed the kick-off for the second period by coming on wearing teammate Leon Osman's shirt - but within minutes he was whipping off his shirt when he celebrated the winner.
The South Africa midfielder was fouled by Lennon and Mikel Arteta took the free-kick quickly.
Pienaar's shot took a wicked deflection off Corluka to wrong-foot luckless Spurs keeper Heurelho Gomes.
Fraizer Campbell - brought on for Bent - almost grabbed an equaliser deep in stoppage-time but his effort was deflected just wide.
