One Japanese company has come up with the ultimate range of accessories for a golden summer.

Ginza Tanaka's latest gold collection, entitled Summer Cool, is made up of items commonly believed by the Japanese to help alleviate the stifling heat of summer.

The beer mug is worth approximately £30,000 but the price changes day by day as the cost of gold fluctuates.

Golden sake and wine glasses are also available at a mere £18 a gram.

There are also gold wind chimes and even a golden fan to help sit back and take in the sunshine.

Aya Yanagi, a staff member at Ginza Tanaka's new Tokyo shop, said: "It is, of course, tasty drinking beer from a normal glass, but it was a new experience to drink from a golden mug and was really quite tasty."
