Kaka: 'I want to grow old at AC Milan'

Kaka says he wants to "grow old" at AC Milan, appearing to reject Manchester City's audacious bid for the Brazilian star.

The player confirmed he has received some "major offers" but these have been turned down.

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani met Manchester City officials on Tuesday to discuss Kaka's future. Milan did not say if an offer was made for him or whether they would accept any bid.

An Italian website that belongs to Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi claims City made an offer of 100 million euros (£90 million) for the 26-year-old, who won the Ballon D'Or and Fifa world player of the year award in 2007.

The website claims City are willing to pay Kaka more than £250,000 a week.

Since the mega-rich Abu Dhabi United Group bought City in August they have been linked with several superstar players, including Dimitar Berbatov and Lassana Diarra, who turned down City's overtures to join Manchester United and Real Madrid respectively.

Most of the players linked with City are involved in the Champions League and seem unlikely to make the move unless City qualify for the competition themselves.

However, Milan are not playing in the Champions League this season and Kaka's Brazil team-mate Robinho is already at City.

A report on the site said: "This time Manchester City are here for real with an official delegation. Manchester City want Kaka at all costs and they have shown their cards.

"Garry Cook, two representatives of Sheik Mansour and Kia Joorabchian, who is acting as a mediator, met with Adriano Galliani and Ernesto Bronzetti (Milan's chief executive and commercial director) and made their offer."

However, Berlusconi told an Italian newspaper he had no knowledge of any transfer talks, saying: "I know nothing about the offer, but I hope he stays at Milan."
