Sir David Frost honoured at Emmys British TV took home five out of the ten prizes on offer at the 37th International Emmy Awards.

Sir David Frost was honoured for his journalistic career.

The 70-year-old TV presenter spent almost five decades interviewing a who's who of politicians, artists and cultural icons.

Tony Blair paid tribute to the veteran broadcaster via a specially recorded video message.

Fellow Brits Julie Walters and Ben Whishaw won top individual honors, and the German mini-series The Wolves of Berlin won the statue for best TV movie or mini-series.

59-year old Walters, who has recently appeared on the big screen in the Harry Potter films and opposite Meryl Streep in the musical Mamma Mia! was chosen as best actress for A Short Stay in Switzerland.

Brazil got it's first-ever International Emmy for India: A Love Story.
