Campbell hits Mumbai catwalk

Naomi Campbell has hit the catwalk at the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai to raise money for charity.

The supermodel took part in a show called 'Mai Mumbai', which will help raise funds for the city's emergency medical services, in light of the attacks in the city last November.

Joined by a host of Indian celebrities, the 39-year-old said: "At times you have to join hands to show solidarity to this great country.

"I had many people calling from around the world to find out asking about this event and is it really happening or not. And I was like yes, this is really going to happen.

"With all the phone calls, everyone working night and day, I'm very, very grateful to be here to take part in such a special event."

On November 26, Islamist gunmen began a three-day rampage in Mumbai, killing up to 170 people.
