Police have released CCTV footage of a 14-year-old boy being struck by a bus.

It happened outside Dumfries Academy in southern Scotland at the end of the last school term.

Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said they released the video to make others aware of the dangers passing traffic can pose.

In the video, teenager Rhease Denver is seen jumping over the barrier where his foot gets caught, leaving him to land between the side of the bus and the pavement.

He is said to have made a full recovery.
