Police probe pensioner stabbing
A post-mortem examination is underway on an elderly man found stabbed to death in Cheshire.
The 93-year-old man was discovered on a grassed area in Knutsford with a single stab wound.
Police said they are treating the pensioner's death as suspicious.
A neighbour described the man, who was thought to have lived locally, as "a friendly, loveable and kind man who never had a bad word to say about anyone".
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police said the results of the post-mortem would be released tomorrow.
Officers will reveal his identity once his next of kin have been informed.
