Katy Perry not surprised to come home gongless

For the second year Katy Perry hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards. She sang a medley of tunes aswell as dressing in a host of quirky outfits.
She follows the footsteps of her new boyfriend Russell Brand who has hosted the US version for the past two years. When asked if he had offered her any advice the singer blushed and said she was excited.
It has been a meteoric two years for Katy after she rekindled what had looked like a career on the downturn. Her first two singles went to number one and she has climbed the celebrity ladder now dating one of Britain's biggest comedy exports.
The awards were the biggest yet with Beyonce, the Foo Fighters and U2 giving hi-octane performances aswell as picking up gongs.
Pixie Lott was the only UK winner picking up the Best Push Artist Award
