It seems the passing years have failed to mellow punk rocker John Lydon - aka Johnny Rotten.

Lydon was on hand at the Mojo magazine bash to accept the Icon Award on behalf of the Sex Pistols.

But the 52-year-old was less than impressed with the win.

And he told reporters he didn't care about the party afterwards either.

He spat: "I'm tired and I'm in the middle of a tour, and all I wanna do is get on stage and enjoy my life.

"These kind of events are a fiasco to me - this is idiots taking themselves far too seriously."
