It is a haven for fashion nostalgics and movie buffs. The wardrobe department at Fox Studios is one of the biggest of its kind, storing over a million items at the company's LA headquarters.
The outfits range from contemporary fashion and accesories to period costumes which are used across Fox productions, including television and feature films.
Whilst most prop items can be found in the general stock area, Fox also keeps some of its most precious costumes in a secluded archive room.
Some of the highlights include a beaded corset Nicole Kidman wore in Moulin Rouge, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine claws from the X-Men film, and Brad Pitt's checked Fight Club blazer.
Mike Voght is manager at the wardrobe department: "We started saving things about seventeen years ago when I started here, because it's Fox's history and we have saved every feature since."
The department continuoulsy keeps updating its existing range. From time to time items get disposed of when they are no longer in use, but they still serve a good cause.
"We donate to charities anything that we consider shop-worn that isn't ready for camera," Voght said.
There is also a chance to visit the wardrobe department yourself. Fox regularly offers guided tours through studios and departments in Los Angeles.
