"I'm going to die" - girl deliberately run over twice
A convent school head girl feared she was going to die after being deliberately run over twice, a court heard today.
Kate Sheedy, 21, was on her way home from school in May 2004 when she was mown over by a driver who she claims wanted to abduct her.
Levi Bellfield, a wheel clamper, stands accused of the attempted murder of Miss Sheedy.
He is also on trial for the murders of students Amelie Delagrange and Marsha McDonnell, in addition to two other attacks.
The court heard how Miss Sheedy's mother, Eileen, received a 'panicky' phone call in the middle of the night from her daughter claiming she had been run over.
Mrs Sheedy raced to her daughter's aid and found her lying on the road where they live.
Miss Sheedy had managed to call for an ambulance and told her mother: 'If they don't get here soon I'm going to die.'
The court heard how the attack crushed her liver, punctured a lung and tore open her back.
Miss Sheedy has now made a full recovery.
