Hotel guests get the hard cell
A former German prison is offering a bed to anyone with the urge to spend the night behind bars.
Hotel Alcatraz in Kaiserslautern still has the barbed wire and barred windows that betray its former role as a notorious jail.
Guests can even get a pair of striped pyjamas and an authentic prison breakfast.
A cell costs around 50 euros (£40) a night and, in classic Alcatraz style, each one comes complete with en suite bathroom facilities.
