People with too much time on their hands are battling it out on Guinness World Records Day.

To mark the day in one German village, they have attempted to break the record for getting the most juice out of grapes by the means of treading in one minute.

In the UK, commuters and students attempted to eclipse the largest gathering of people in their underpants record at St Pancras Station in London.

Some of the more bizarre records at risk include the loudest clap, Kiwi fruit peeling and synchronised stilt jumping.
