'Spears seeks refuge with paparazzo'
Britney Spears is continuing her recovery after being treated in hospital following a custody stand-off at her LA mansion.
Some reports allege the star is holed up with British paparazzo Adnan Ghalib at a rented property as the media continue to besiege her Mediterranean villa off Mulholland Drive following last week's incident.
The drama began when ex-husband Kevin Federline's bodyguards arrived at her home on Thursday evening to pick up her two sons following an arranged visit.
But Spears reportedly barricaded herself in a room with the youngest child, Jayden James, for several hours and police and emergency services had to be called.
Meanwhile, TV shrink Dr Phil McGraw was allowed to visit Spears at the Cedars Sinai Medical Centre and some reports claim the star was upset as it was without her prior knowledge or consent.
Spears' parents are said to be fans of the celebrity doctor - who rose to fame on the Oprah Winfrey show - and had wanted him to visit their troubled daughter.
Some reports have claimed she could even appear on his show in the near future. Dr Phil later said Spears is in "dire need of medical and psychological intervention".
After she was admitted to hospital, Federline's lawyers went to court to obtain an order preventing Spears from seeing Sean Preston, two, and his 15-month-old brother, over fears about their safety.
The 26-year-old has since had her visitation rights suspended until January 14. Police later said there was no gun in the house after reports that Federline feared she would kill the boys.
In the UK, Spears is soaring up the charts with her new single despite her recent personal problems.
Sales of her new track Piece Of Me have rocketed - climbing from 46 to 19 this week.
