Young skater eyes world record

A seven-year old is attempting to break a world record for sliding under a line of cars.

Aniket Chindak has already set an unofficial record by rolling under 57 four-wheel drive cars in 45 seconds in February last year.

Now he wants to better the feat by trying to skate under 100 cars.

A celebrity in his home-town Belgaum in India, Aniket has an extraordinary ability to perform what is known as 'limbo-skating ' .

His family says he started roller skating from the age of 18 months and has since received many trophies and awards for his skating skills.

The boy has been practicing hard to build-up flexibility and body strength needed to squeeze and roll under 100 cars no more than eight inches above the ground.

"In the future I am planning to do skating-dancing, skating-singing, and football and hockey skating too, and I want to win many prizes," Aniket said.

His parents say they are not unduly worried about Aniket's safety in performing such feats and encourage him to carry on with his practice.

A date hasn't yet been set for when Aniket Chindak hopes to break the record but he plans to attempt the feat in early 2008.
