Susan Boyle's team deny breakdown rumours

Reports in the press that Susan Boyle suffered a breakdown during her visit to the United States have been firmly denied by her team.

The claims were made in reference to pictures that had appeared of Boyle in tears and sucking her thumb during public appearances.

A spokespersan for Susan said: "Reports that Susan was upset in New York are completely untrue... Susan was overwhelmed by the reaction of her fans."

Boyle's debut album I Dreamed a Dream is the most successful pre-sale album of all time with a record breaking amount of orders being placed before its release date.

Susan struggled with her new found fame after finishing runner-up to dance group Diversity in Britain's Got Talent. She was admitted to the world famous clinic The Priory for treatment.

Since then she has shown signs of dealing with her new found stardom appearing on The X Factor last week and appearing on NBC hit programme The Today Show.
