Football fans from around the UK have voted for the ten greatest moments in the history of the sport.

The result of that vote is football ballet.

Dancers from the English National Ballet recreated footballing performances, using similar techniques to world footy stars.

The reason they are juxtaposing football with ballet is because it is New Football Pools 85th birthday this year and they asked over 20,000 fans for their favourite iconic moments.

It has also become a chance to bridge a gender gap between the two sports.

The ballet can be viewed on the New football pools website and will be performed for free at 7pm on September 16 at the Everyman Playhouse in Liverpool.
