Five young people killed across UK
Five people in their teens and early twenties have been killed across the UK over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The deaths include the racist attack of a sixteen year old student who suffered a serious head injury in Hastings in East Sussex.
Two men also died after attacks in the West Midlands.
Twenty-four year old Dimitri Foskin was shot in Newtown, Birmingham and a twenty-one year old man was killed in Wolverhampton in the early hours of Sunday.
And the fourth, Dominic Barritt, 18, of Clacton, Essex, also suffered a severe head injury.
In London, two people have been arrested after eighteen-year-old Charles Hendricks was stabbed in Walthamstow, near the site of a proposed Olympics party.
Organisers for London 2012 had intended to show the closing ceremony of the Beijing Games on a giant screen near the scene, but police cordoned the area off following the stabbing.
Police sources said Mr Hendricks may well have known his attackers and it is thought the stabbing could have taken place following a dispute.
