Sheridan Smith on kissing Duncan James

With Legally Blonde about to hit the West End for the UK release of the stage musical, star Sheridan Smith is everywhere at the moment.

She turned up at the Cosmopolitan Women of the Year Awards to give friend Ruth Jones the prize for Ultimate Funny Woman.

Rehearsals for the musical are in full swing and she is enjoying working with former Blue singer Duncan James and stage and TV legend Peter Davidson.

The highlight of the show for Sheridan is not the expected thrill from kissing heart-throb Duncan but that she has a litter of live dogs to join her on stage.

The canine mad actress said that although she loved 'snogging' James everyday in rehearsals, that as a dog-lover, for once, working with animals has been the highlight.
