Police probe potential murder link

Police are investigating whether a fatal shooting is linked to the murder of a man outside a prison.

A 28-year-old man was shot several times outside a property in Fulham Court, Fulham, south west London, on Thursday night.

Officers have arrested a 24-year-old man and taken him into custody at a west London police station.

The attack took place several hours after the funeral of 20-year-old Darcy Bruce who was killed outside Wandsworth Prison last month.

Mr Bruce was the victim of a gangland-style hit by two masked gunmen who attacked him as he arrived in the prison car park to visit an inmate.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the Fulham victim had been with friends at the address before leaving shortly before 7pm.

As he left he was shot by a man outside. Armed police and paramedics were called by neighbours who heard the gunshots but he died at the scene.

The spokesman said: "Whilst detectives believe they know who the deceased is we await formal identification. Next of kin have been informed."
