Royals attend Highland Games
The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales were guests of honour at the Highland Games.
The Queen and a kilted Philip and Charles were greeted by a crowd of around 16,000 at the traditional sporting event in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The gathering takes place in the picturesque village of Braemar on the first Saturday in September and coincides with the Queen's annual two-month holiday at nearby Balmoral Castle.
From their seats in the pavilion, the Queen, the Duke and the Prince watched various events, including caber-tossing, Highland dancing and tug of war.
The monarch later presented a number of awards including the overall heavyweight competition prize, which went to Bruce Aitken for the 10th consecutive year.
