A beauty pageant honouring fuller-figured women has been held in Beersheba, Israel.

Up to 20 women strutted their stuff at the Fat and Beautiful pageant, now in its 15th year.

Eliyah, 22, said all the contestants were proud to be "big and beautiful."

She said: "They take women from all over Israel that are plus-sized and beautiful and proud to be big and beautiful.

"It's 20 girls, and we are competing for inner beauty, out beauty, anything, everything."

However, the night's winner was 22-year-old Khani Yirmiyahu, one of the smallest contestants who weighed in at 80 kg.
