Rihanna fans may not be able to catch the R&B star dancing around on stage for a while as she has injured her foot.

The 19-year-old has been spotted hobbling around on crutches with a bandage on her right foot.

The Bajan star apparently hurt herself when she accidentally walked into a chair whilst on holiday.

But instead of putting her feet up, the singer popped down to a trendy shopping district in LA to squeeze in a spot of retail therapy.

Doctors have instructed her to rest up for at least two weeks, but she could be forced to perform some of her scheduled gigs from a chair.

Rihanna's smash hit song Umbrella, recently held the number one spot in the UK charts for ten weeks - the longest-running time this decade.
