Rent-a-Wife ad causes a stir
A Belgian company has caused a stir by launching a bogus 'Rent-a-wife' advertising campaign for its DVD rental services.
The advert offers up a variety of fictitious wives through a website where you can even select your favourite by flicking through a virtual catalogue of over 9,000 models.
Those who are interested can choose from Erika - an intellectual who talks a lot and can make dinner for your friends - to the 'spectacular' Isabelle, who will impress your boss.
The company says the advert was intended to be light-hearted and, more importantly, to have a maximum impact - something it seems to have done.
But there have been a lot of complaints about the campaign, with some calling for it to be removed.
