Idowu pipped in triple jump
Phillips Idowu has won a silver medal for Great Britain in the triple jump.
Idowu recorded the longest jump in qualifying and he was the favourite to win the gold medal.
But he was beaten by Nelson Evora of Portugal.
Idowu recorded 17.62 metres with his third jump and briefly led the competition.
But Evora reached 17.67 metres and Idowu could not catch him.
Idowu's team-mate Larry Achike finished sixth in the final with 17.17 metres.
