Gallagher looks back in anger

Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher needed hospital treatment after being attacked on stage in Canada.

A man shoved the guitarist to the ground as the band were playing Morning Glory during their set at the V Festival in Toronto on Sunday night.

The spectator then tried to get to Noel's brother Liam who had to be restrained from fighting back.

According to reports from Canada, the intruder was apprehended by security guards and later charged with assault.

Their was a brief interlude before Oasis returned to play six more songs including Wonderwall, Don't Look back In Anger, and their set-closing cover of I Am The Walrus by the Beatles.

Gallagher was later taken to hospital for a suspected broken rib.
