Jackson in surprise Tokyo visit
Janet Jackson has made a surprise visit to Tokyo promoting her new album "Discipline".
Her Japan visit comes as a surprise to many as the pop star was forced to cancel an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" last month when she was sick with bronchitis.
Jackson's boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, was the one that shared the news about her recovery.
Dupri also announced that he will be heading up a new record label called Tag Records, a joint venture between Island Def Jam and Tag Deodorant Body Spray.
He is currently in the studio working on Usher's new album.
Whilst promoting her album, Jackson visited a dance school - "Zeel Studios" - in Tokyo's Shinjuku.
About 20 students were given warning about the visit from Jackson's choreographer. Some students burst into tears when she walked into the class.
After watching the students perform, Jackson promised to invite them backstage to her concert in Japan during her world tour that starts in September.
