Catwalk sizzles at Peru fashion extravaganza

More than 60 top models from Peru, Brazil and Argentina have bared almost all at a lingerie and bikini event at Peru's second annual fashion show.

Show producer Nino Penaloza said the open-air event was inspired by the architecture of Peruvian capital Lima.

He said: "With Lima being a colonial city with beautiful monuments, the idea was to exhibit fashion within the city."

The fashion extravaganza gave an international group of designers the chance to present their creations.

Latin American labels on display included Rosa Cha from Brazil, Colombian lingerie-maker E&A and the swanky Argentine designer Ona Saez.

Other brands including Billabong, Xiome and Maui & Sons also showed off styles as the summer season in the southern hemisphere starts to heat up.
