Ian is top of the porridge pots
A new World Porridge Making Champion has been crowned.
Makers from far and wide gathered in the Scottish Highland village of Carrbridge to compete in the annual competition.
Winner Ian Bishop says his secret ingredient is water taken from an underground river by his home.
He was given the Golden Spurtle Trophy - an award in the shape of the traditional tool used to stir porridge.
The speciality porridge category was won by professional chef Andy Daggert, who lives in Craigellachie.
He impressed the judges with his dish of marzipan porridge with Glenfiddich ice-cream and apples.
The 15 competitors took part in heats and were whittled down to five who took part in the final cook-off.
George McIvor, Chair of the judging panel, said: "Although overall the porridge didn't measure up to the previous years, when it came to the porridge makers selected for the final cook off the porridge was of an exceptional standard."
The annual event is in its 15th year.
