Portsmouth bring the Cup home

More than 100,000 people lined the streets to watch Portsmouth parade the FA Cup.

Supporters cheered Sol Campbell's team as they brought the Cup back to Fratton Park for the first time in 69 years.

Portsmouth striker Nwankwo Kanu was given a hero's welcome after scoring the winning goal against Cardiff City at Wembley.

Both Portsmouth and Cardiff were given an allocation of 25,000 seats at the final, but more than four times that number watched the Cup come home.

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp said: "If you had said to them six years ago, when we were down at the bottom of the Championship, that we would be winning the FA Cup, they would have thought you were mad. So it has been great for them."

It is the first time Portsmouth have won a major trophy since 2003, when they were promoted to the Premier League as first division champions.
