Teenage heartthrob Zac Efron is back on the big screen with Friends star Matthew Perry in 17 Again.

The comedy is about a 37-year-old guy who who gets a second chance at life when, as the title suggests, he becomes 17 again.

Efron said: "There is so much adolescent insecurity that is so overwhelming in high school... I don't know that I can handle that again. I prefer where I'm at. It's pretty good."

Although turning back the hands of time isn't something Efron would like to do himself, for his character Mike O'Donnell, going back to high school is a chance to correct his mistakes and rewrite his now-miserable existence.

Perry plays the slightly annoyed older Mike.

Efron said of Perry: "He's great. After hanging out with the guy, he's definitely 17 at heart, and that's what I want to be when I'm his age.

17 Again is in cinemas now.
