Gruffudd practises lines with daughter Hollywood actor Ioan Gruffudd practised his lines for his latest television role on his new daughter Ella Betsi.

The Fantastic Four star can be heard narrating Igam Ogam, a new Welsh language show for pre-school children, from next week.

Gruffudd recorded his part via a link between Sound Works Studio in Cardiff and a studio near his home in Los Angeles.

And to help him prepare for his recording sessions he read the scripts to his baby daughter. His Lost actress wife Alice Evans gave birth to Ella Betsi in September.

Gruffudd, 35, said he was delighted when Cardiff-based animation company Calon TV approached him to narrate the programme.

"They have a great record of producing high-quality animation for young children and I hope Ella Betsi will become a fan as soon as she's old enough," he said.
